About me
My name is Linda Coleman, I've been an Ofsted registered Childminder based in Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse since 2008. I'm married to Paul and we have a 15 year old son called Joseph.
Why Childminding? - Whilst my maternity leave was coming to an end in 2007 I visited several childcare settings but failed to find the ideal place for our son. This is when I decided to become a Childminder and I have never looked back since!
Seeing the world through the eyes of my own child and the children I care for is an absolute joy, it still amazes me how children are so delighted in the most simplest of things. Having developed a real interest in child development and teaching and learning, I have been taken on a journey of professional development that has brought about numerous opportunities.
Me graduating from
the Open University

In 2011 I began studying towards a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, at the same time I was approached by Calderdale Council to join the Childminder Support Team as a Childminding Mentor.
In 2014 I took the huge decision to have a break from Childminding and work for Calderdale full-time as an Early Years Quality Improvement and Support Officer. During this time I supported numerous Childcare providers, from Childminders to Day Nurseries. Along the way I have developed my knowledge immensely whilst also finally graduated from the Open University.
In 2017 I returned to Childminding full-time. We extended our home to create a larger more accessible space for the children.
